Boccia England is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Amos as our new freelance Competition Consultant.
This role, which is freelance and outside of our core staffing structure, was created following our 2025 staffing restructure, which placed greater emphasis on introducing children and young people to boccia while maintaining our commitment to delivering and developing a high‑quality competition programme.
Ryan brings extensive experience in sport development and event delivery, including establishing the Sheffield Hallam Parkrun and founding the Sheffield Pickleball Academy. He also spent more than 18 years at Sheffield Hallam University, where he supported the development and delivery of Club and Performance Sport for students.
As well as working closely with Boccia England staff, Ryan will also be supported by Rachael Crack, a familiar face within the boccia community as a Technical Delegate for World Boccia and former employee at Boccia England. Rachael will provide initial guidance for Ryan before developing a training programme designed to help clubs and partners deliver local competitions with confidence and consistency.
