Boccia England published its Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) following approval from Sport England in April 2024.
This 2 year plan sets out to ensure that Boccia England embeds inclusion throughout the organisation and provides a position environment for our workforce and our wider boccia community to benefit through learning and development. This will ensure that we see widespread promotion that recognises the positive impact of diversity within our community.
Our plan sets out a range of actions that will enable Boccia England to provide the right opportunities through effective resources and partnership that creates the right platform to engage with new audiences.
Our DIAP is not just about focusing on disabled people, it is also about recognising there is a wider intersectionality that touches on other protected characteristics. Ultimately this work enables the sport of boccia to reach more people who would otherwise not consider playing boccia.
