We are delighted to celebrate the people, clubs and organisations that make boccia happen across England through the announcement of the 2026 Boccia England Award winners.
The Boccia England Awards are an opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of individuals and organisations across our sport. From the players competing at the highest level, to the coaches, volunteers, clubs and partners working behind the scenes, boccia relies on a huge network of people who give their time, expertise and commitment to help our sport grow.
This year’s awards highlighted some fantastic achievements and showcased the breadth of work taking place across the Boccia England community.
Meet our 2026 winners
Volunteer of the Year – Cassandra Turk
Cass has been recognised for her outstanding contribution as a volunteer. Volunteers are at the heart of boccia, giving their time and energy to support players, clubs and competitions across the country.
Cassandra’s commitment and enthusiasm make a real difference to those around her, and she is a fantastic example of the impact that volunteers can have on our sport.
Coach of the Year – Alan Banks
Alan has been named Coach of the Year in recognition of his commitment to supporting and developing boccia players.
Great coaches play a vital role in helping athletes reach their potential, but their impact extends well beyond performance. They help players build confidence, develop skills and enjoy their experience of the sport.
Player of the Year – Natasha Critchley
Tash has been recognised as our 2026 Player of the Year following an outstanding year of boccia.
The award celebrates not only achievements on court, but also the dedication, determination and commitment required to compete and continually improve at the highest level.
Club of the Year – Stockport Boccia Club
Stockport Boccia Club has been named Club of the Year, recognising its contribution to developing and promoting boccia within its community.
Clubs provide the foundation of our sport, creating opportunities for people to play, compete, develop friendships and become part of the boccia community. Stockport Boccia Club is a great example of the positive impact a well-run and welcoming club can have.
Partner of the Year – Greencore
Greencore has been recognised as our 2026 Partner of the Year for its support and contribution to Boccia England.
We are incredibly grateful for Greencore’s commitment to boccia and the support they have provided, helping to keep our fabulous team of volunteers fed during long competition weekends.
Congratulations to all our nominees
While we have been celebrating our winners, we would also like to congratulate everyone who was nominated and shortlisted for this year’s awards.
Being recognised by your peers and the wider Boccia England community is a significant achievement, and the quality and diversity of this year’s nominations demonstrated the incredible work taking place across the sport.
Most importantly, we would like to say thank you to everyone who contributes to boccia in England. Whether you are an athlete, coach, volunteer, official, club, partner, family member or supporter, your contribution helps our sport grow and thrive.
