How does qualification for the finals work?

Qualification is based on a quota:
1-3 players = 1 qualifier
4-9 players = 2 qualifiers
10+ players = 3 qualifiers

On the day

What time is registration?

Registration is at 9am, if you have any problems please call 07749114807.

Where is registration?

Registration takes place in the sports hall, at 9am. PLEASE NOTE the main entrance to the venue is not accessible via the front of the building, please enter the building by going round the right hand side of the building where you will see a direct entrance via a ramp into the sports hall.

Can I practice before my matches?

Yes there will be practice courts available in the sports hall, they will open at 8:30am.

Will a schedule of matches be available before the competition?

You can view the PROVISIONAL schedule here

A final schedule will be published on the morning of the competition, once all players have registered.

Can I buy lunch and refreshments on the day?

There is a cafe onsite.

What else is happening on the day?

Look out for the following exciting activities:

  • Coaches info session - meet our new Talent Development Manager who will give you a quick overview of how to help develop your players!

If your coach is coming (it can be your parent, teacher, physio etc – anyone that is coaching you or helping you to become a better player – they don’t have to have any formal qualification). Both sessions will be the same so they can choose whichever one fits best with your matches. This will be an opportunity to meet our new Talent Development Manager, Sandra King, and the topic will be ‘How to recognise a talented player, and how to get your player recognised'.

  • Raffle - don't forget to enter the Heathcoat Raffle! Look out for more details on the day!

  • Classification Clinic - our Development Manager and Technical Classifier Rachel Miller will be on hand at 3:30pm to take any classification queries.

  • Selfie Station - take a boccia selfie and share #HeathcoatCup

How accessible is the venue?

There are disabled parking bays in the sport facility car park.

There are no accessible toilets in the venue therefore, in partnership with Mobiloo we will have a hoist and changing bench available for those players that require this facility. This will be located just outside the back entrance.

When can I enter this competition?

Who can enter this competition?
  • This competition is for anyone that fits into the BC1-BC8

  • You can only enter ONE Heathcoat Cup competition.

  • If you are invited to The BE Cup competitions you CAN NOT enter a Heathcoat Cup competition.

I have entered The BE Cup, can I enter the Heathcoat Cup too?

No, you can only enter one competition pathway - The BE Cup or Heathcoat Cup.

I don't have a classification, can I still enter?

Yes, you will be asked to enter as the classification you think you are. Guidance about the different classifications can be found here.

You will be sent a time to be seen by one of our classifiers during the competition.
