How does qualification for the finals work?
Qualification is based on a quota:
1-3 players = 1 qualifier
4-9 players = 2 qualifiers
10+ players = 3 qualifiers
On the day
What time is registration?
Registration opens at 8:45am and closes at 9:15am. If you have any problems please call 07824 317993.
Where is registration?
Registration takes place in the sports hall.
Can I practice before my matches?
Yes there will be practice courts available in the sports hall, they will open at 8:30am.
Will a schedule of matches be available before the competition?
A provisional schedule will be released on Thursday 22nd November. A final schedule will be published on the morning of the competition, once all players have registered.
Can I buy lunch and refreshments on the day?
There is NO cafe on site. Please ensure you bring lunch and snacks to last the day.
What else is happening on the day?
Look out for the following exciting activities:
- Raffle - don't forget to enter the Heathcoat Raffle
- Selfie Station - take a boccia selfie and share #heathcoatcup
- Boccia England AGM at 4pm!
How accessible is the venue?
There are disabled parking bays in the sport facility car park. Parking is limited directly next to the sports hall, extra parking is available in the school staff car park.
Please note there is limited car parking directly outside the sports academy.
The sports centre has accessible toilets and a Mobiloo unit will be onsite.
How can I travel to the venue?
Bus links are directly outside and train links within a 10 minute walk.

Rules and Guidelines
The competition will be played using the most recent BISFed Rules.
The BISFed Competition manual will also be used where applicable.
BC1 will play in a round robin of four.
BC2 will play in a round robin of four.
BC3 will play in a round robin of four.
BC4 and 5will be combined and play across three pools and progress to Semi-Finals and Finals.
BC6will play across three pools and progress to Semi-Finals and Finals.
BC8will play across two pools and progress to Semi-Finals and Finals.
Players will be seeded at random.
Medals will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each competition class.
There will be no warm up balls, every round there will be two courts available for warm up for those players that are on the next round.
Players that require classification (those that haven't attended a Boccia England competition previously or are under classification review) will receive an email with an classification appointment time.
When can I enter this competition?
Entries are now open. You can enter online now! Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to enter via other means.
Who can enter this competition?
This competition is for anyone that fits into the BC1-BC8
You can only enter ONE Heathcoat Cup competition.
If you are invited to The BE Cup competitions you CAN NOT enter a Heathcoat Cup competition.
How do I enter?
You can enter online up until Monday 19th November, at 5pm.
You must be a member of Boccia England to take part.
You need a current membership to enter any competition.
I have entered The BE Cup, can I enter the Heathcoat Cup too?
No, you can only enter one competition pathway - The BE Cup or Heathcoat Cup.
I don't have a classification, can I still enter?
Yes, you will be asked to enter as the classification you think you are. Guidance about the different classifications can be found here.
You will then be seen by one of our classifiers during the competition.
