Leicestershire Giraffes booked their place in the Boccia England Super League for 2027 as the 2026 National League season came to a close in Kenilworth.
An enthralling day of competition saw the 12 regional league winners come together to battle it out for the National League crown. The teams representing 57 competing nationally throughout the season did not disappoint.
After group stages in the morning session, all teams entered knock-out stages in the afternoon with Giraffes and Bury Boccia emerging as the finalists. It was ultimately Giraffes that emerged victorious, winning the final 9 – 2.
Stockport Boccia Club claimed the bronze medals, beating Peterborough Comets in the 3rd/4th play-off match.
They will now take their place in Super League for next year, competing against the other top-ranked boccia teams in England.
Our congratulations go to all 12 teams for qualifying for this stage. Our thanks also go to everyone involved in the National League this season, and particularly to the volunteers that enable it to take place. We look forward to the start of next season and will share more details soon.
