Meet our new Boccia Champions

At Boccia England, we are passionate about growing the game of boccia and ensuring that everyone, everywhere, has the opportunity to experience this inclusive and exciting sport. Over the past year, we have been working closely with 27 incredible individuals from across our boccia community, identifying and developing them as our very first Boccia Champions.

These Champions have been carefully selected for their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to making a positive difference within their local communities. Throughout the summer, we have supported them through training, mentoring and development opportunities to ensure they are fully upskilled and confident in their roles, understanding and following Boccia England’s policies, safeguarding measures and procedures.

Our Boccia Champions are now ready and equipped to represent Boccia England on the ground. They will work alongside our partners, schools, charities and system organisations to help bring boccia to new places and to new people. Whether it’s supporting the set-up of new clubs, providing guidance to teachers and community leaders, or inspiring new participants to get involved through our partners, our Champions will play a vital part in building stronger and more sustainable pathways for boccia across the country.

By empowering local people to become leaders and advocates for the sport, we are creating a network of passionate ambassadors who will help ensure that boccia continues to grow and thrive long into the future.
