Club Minimum Standards

Boccia is the most inclusive sport in the world.

To remain that way and to provide a welcoming environment for everyone, we must ensure that we continue to provide a safe environment that cares for the welfare of all involved.

That is why we are putting in place a set of minimum standards for all Boccia England Member Clubs.

Whilst the standards outlined below cover club activities, they are being replicated in all areas across our sport, including our paid staff, our Board of Trustees, performance coaches and all of our event volunteers.

We recognise that many clubs are small operations with a handful of players and even fewer volunteers.

We have therefore tried to keep the standards proportional and appropriate, whilst still rigorous enough to offer safety and wellbeing to everyone involved in the sport.

We will also work closely with clubs to support you towards full compliance with these standards, as well as providing a full library of resources and templates.

Please let us know if you have any questions or you think you need any specific advice and guidance that you cannot find. For further information contact us by email at info@bocciaengland.org.uk or telephone 0115 9678455.

BE Member Club Membership Renewal – 2026 to 2027 season

From 1st September 2025, all clubs and groups are required to complete a self-declaration form to confirm compliance with the new set of Minimum Standards for BE Member Clubs before the Boccia England Membership for the 2026 to 2027 season can be approved.

To access the self-declaration form on the Sport:80 Boccia Base membership system, please follow the steps below:
