Style Guide
A consistent identity is a critical part of building a strong brand. This style guide provides rules and guidelines that should be used when creating any work for Boccia England.
When using the Boccia England logo or symbol, consider the balance, proportions and the white space between it and the other elements.
A smaller logo/symbol with more white space is often better than a larger logo/symbol with less white space.
Always leave adequate room between the logo/symbol and other elements such as text, graphic, or another logo.
The logo/symbol should only ever be used in the approved colours and with suitable contrast to the background.
There is a rare exception when the logo or symbol may be used in another colour, which is when it is used in promotion of another product/service and the theme of the promotional material uses a non-standard colour. Always maintain the original ratio of the logo/symbol, never distort or stretch it.
When positioned over a photo, the area behind the logo must be a fairly solid colour and provide enough contrast so that the logo is clear.

Shapes
Circles
The use of circles is a nod to the shape of the balls used in boccia.
Squares
A square shape nicely frames a symbol.
Parallelogram
Occasionally a parallelogram may be used. A 6º angle matches the slope of the italic heading font, but a 9º angle may be used when a more dramatic effect is required.

Photos
In general, photos should be closely cropped with a shallow depth of field and blurred background – focusing on the primary subject matter. If a ball is featured in the photo, ideally it should be coloured Boccia England red. Third party logos should be removed where possible. Minor blemishes, marks, and other visual distractions should also be removed.
