Talent Pathway
At Boccia England, we are proud to be funded by Sport England to identify and support talented boccia players.
Our goal is to help athletes play at the highest level possible and achieve their ambitions in the sport.
The Talent Pathway focuses on players in the BC1 – BC4 classifications, as these are the categories with opportunities to progress into the Paralympic Games.
Our 2025-2029 Talent Plan
Step 1
Identifying and Developing Young Talent
- Recruiting players aged 13–23
- Supporting them through regional talent hubs that provide expert coaching and development
Step 2
Supporting Current Athletes
- Working with England’s top athletes to refine skills and achieve excellence
- Delivering a mix of camp-based training and ongoing domestic coaching throughout the year
Step 3
Strengthening Links with Boccia UK
- Building stronger collaboration with Boccia UK, which is funded by UK Sport for World Class Performance
- Creating a smoother pathway for English athletes to progress into international programmes
